Good faith estimate
A good faith estimate, referred to as a GFE, was a standard form that (prior to 2015) had to be provided by a mortgage lender or broker in the United States to a consumer, as required by the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
A priori estimate
TYPE OF ESTIMATE FOR THE SIZE OF A SOLUTION OF A DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION
Apriori estimate; A priori bound; Apriori bound; A priori estimation
In the theory of partial differential equations, an a priori estimate (also called an apriori estimate or a priori bound) is an estimate for the size of a solution or its derivatives of a partial differential equation. A priori is Latin for "from before" and refers to the fact that the estimate for the solution is derived before the solution is known to exist.
Fermi problem
ESTIMATION PROBLEM DESIGNED TO TEACH DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS OR APPROXIMATION
Fermi's question; Fermi question; Fermi estimate; Fermi calculation; Fermi Problem; Fermi method; Fermi estimation; Fermi estimates; Fermi problems; Fermi Quiz
In physics or engineering education, a Fermi problem, Fermi quiz, Fermi question, Fermi estimate, order-of-magnitude problem, order-of-magnitude estimate, or order estimation is an estimation problem designed to teach dimensional analysis or approximation of extreme scientific calculations, and such a problem is usually a back-of-the-envelope calculation. The estimation technique is named after physicist Enrico Fermi as he was known for his ability to make good approximate calculations with little or no actual data.
Bispectrum
In mathematics, in the area of statistical analysis, the bispectrum is a statistic used to search for nonlinear interactions.
L-estimator
  • range]], [[mid-range]], and [[trimean]].
In statistics, an L-estimator is an estimator which is a linear combination of order statistics of the measurements (which is also called an L-statistic). This can be as little as a single point, as in the median (of an odd number of values), or as many as all points, as in the mean.

USED IN MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS TO DETERMINE AN ESTIMATED VALUE
Efficiency bound; Restricted estimate; Unrestricted estimate; Asymptotically unbiased; Estimators; Asymptotically normal estimator; Parameter estimate; Universal estimator; Estimated value; Statistical estimate; Estimate (statistics)
In statistics, an estimator is a rule for calculating an estimate of a given quantity based on observed data: thus the rule (the estimator), the quantity of interest (the estimand) and its result (the estimate) are distinguished. For example, the sample mean is a commonly used estimator of the population mean.

Raygor readability estimate

The Raygor estimate graph is a readability metric for English text. It was developed by Alton L. Raygor, who published it in 1977.

The US grade level is calculated by the average number of sentences and letters per hundred words. These averages are plotted onto a specific graph where the intersection of the average number of sentences and the average number of letters/word determines the reading level of the content. Note that this graph is very similar to the Fry readability formula's graph.

This graph is primarily used in secondary education to help classify teaching materials and books into their appropriate reading groups.
